In a previous article I shared how we used measurements conversion to create simple recipes for our family. The basic ingredients were the dry ingredients and the liquid measurements. You can even print a few copies so you have them available for use in the kitchen.

If you want to replace one cup of dry ingredients with three cups of liquid, for example, you would simply take three tablespoons of dry ingredients and divide them by the number of cups you are using in the recipe. Sixth, learn how to read conversion charts. Although it can take some practice, once you have mastered these basic steps you will be able to read all types of cooking measurements quickly and easily. However, you may have to do some experimentation to find the best way to convert measurements. If you find that using fluid ounces does not give the accurate results, you may want to try tablespoons instead of cups. Also, you may want to use liquid measurements to replace water or dry ingredients.
